Wii Exhibit v0.1

by ThatOtherPerson
Wii Exhibit is an online image editor for Wii. Everyone shares the same canvas so everyone can see what you’re drawing.

ThatOtherPerson's Notes
Press the B button to draw in black or the A button to draw in white. You can draw a straight line by holding down the button and releasing it where you want the line to end. You can refresh the image without drawing on it by pressing the 1 or 2 button.

I’ll readily admit that it actually really sucks right now but I’ll be updating it and I have high hopes for it. Excluding browser based stuff this is the first piece of software I’ve ever made that connects to the internet so I’m pretty psyched that it works at all. You can expect to see online multiplayer and scoreboards in a lot of my future Wii homebrew releases.

Online interactions obviously not rated by the ESRB. Don’t be too surprised if someone draws a dick or something. It’s an inevitability (assuming that people actually use this) and I have zero interest in trying to moderate what people draw.

They Do Not Die 2 v0.8

by ThatOtherPerson
A zombie survival game. Kill all the circle zombies.

ThatOtherPerson's Notes
Here is a small update for They Do Not Die 2 along with its first Windows release.

I’ve added blood and corpses. On Wii and PS3 they quickly shrink until they disappear but on Windows they fade instead of shrink (which I think looks a lot better) and there can be more of them in the game world at a time which means that they disappear more slowly.

I’ve also made a handful of minor and most likely unnoticeable changes (mostly related to city generation).

UFO Racer 3.1

by ThatOtherPerson

UFO racing game.

ThatOtherPerson's Notes
The completely remade 3D edition of UFO Racer is finally on Wii! The Wii port even features motion controls like it did in the 2D version that preceded this.

Along with porting it I’ve made a few improvements. The high score is saved every time you finish a lap, there is now on screen text telling you what your time was from the previous lap, there have been slight changes to the track geometry and texture, the track is now loaded from an external file (it was previously hard coded into the game) and the font used for on screen text has also changed.

It’s a minor update for PS3 but there will be more to come in the future. I’m planning to add a level editor.

Harmony's Nightmare 1.1

by Mr. Reaper
It's a Multi-Genre Platform/Reflex/Puzzle/Horror Survival Game.

CREATORS CHANGLOG
Lots of behind-the-scenes code optimizations and small visual/animation tweaks/adjustments. Also, I thought level 3 was too easy compared to the other levels, so I MADE IT HARDER, Mwhahahaha! But the note placement on that level is better now, so maybe I need to make it harder still >:) I also tried to work around some random sound issues (it seems that gcmodplay and/or aesndlib have some problems...). Maybe at some point I'll try converting everything to use asndlib and see if it fixes the random sound glitches completely.

Wire3D 1.0.2

by antibyte
Wire3D (Wii Independent Rendering Engine 3D) is an open source, object oriented, multiplatform 3D engine written in C++, supporting homebrew Wii and Windows (DirectX). It provides a framework to developers for writing platform agnostic 3D applications (including physics using the Bullet Physics library) that run on Wii and Windows out of the box.

CHANGELOG
Wire
  • draw call batching of static and dynamic geometry
  • text rendering
  • skybox node
  • VertexBuffer uses 32bit color (instead of 4 floats) now, so no more conversion at Bind() time. Note: Although interface changed, there are no changes for the user due to implicit conversion operators to/from ColorRGB(A).
  • IndexBuffer only uses 16bit indices, as Wii does not support 32bit indices anyways. Note: Interface only changed on IndexBuffer::GetData(), if you are accessing index buffers via operator there are no changes necessary.
  • (PC) fixed renderer statistics bug when ResetDevice()/DestroyAll() was issued.
  • (PC) fixed NVIDIA PerfHUD getting stalled when pressing a key.
  • (Wii) fixed anisotropic texture filtering
Importer
  • leaking vertex data fixed
  • support for "Static" flagged transformations
  • fixed missing Spotlight parameters
Tools
  • freetype2 font engine added
Samples
  • updated Sample3, Sample10 and Demo to showcase new features
