HackMii Installer 0.5

by bLAStY, bushing, dhewg, drmr, John_K, marcan, mha, segher, svpe, tmbinc, comex

HackMii installer (v0.5)
========================
■New exploit to enable (un-)installation of all components on fully updated Wiis.
■Fix hangs on some setups (they’re all related to retarded IOS patches).

BootMii beta 4 (v1.1)
=====================
■Properly write the keys to nand.bin.
This fixes the “NAND dump is from another Wii” issue on restoring beta 3 backups. If you don’t know how to fix those dumps, you have to backup the NAND again. Dumps from all other versions are not affected.

The Homebrew Channel v1.0.5
===========================
■Faster startup.
■Prefer boot.elf over boot.dol when launching apps.
■New shiny fonts, tweaked to the last subpixel.
■Widescreen support.
If your Wii is set to 16:9 in the system menu options, HBC won’t strech the picture like it did on older versions. Unfortunately the fonts might look a little weird then, it really depends on the used display unit. Blame the lack of true widescreen support on the Wii for that.
■Grid view.
Hit 2/Y while browsing applications to switch between the old and the new view. This shows 4 columns on 16:9 setups, 4:3 users only get 3.
■Device hot-plugging.
You can remove and insert devices (front SD slot, USB mass storage, and SDGecko in both slots) at all times now without reloading HBC.
To change to another device, hit 1/X to bring up a simple option dialog.
■Application sort order.
You can now choose how to sort the shown entries. Current options: either by the name or by the release date.
Note that for the latter sort order a valid release_date tag has to be present in the meta.xml file.
Again, hit 1/X for the options dialog to set this.
■wiiload overhaul.
On-the-fly compression: Uploaded files are automatically compressed on PC side: This makes it way faster, especially on bigger files. ScummVM, anyone?
Improved USBGecko support: Faster uploads, and you don’t have to stop reading debug messages from the device while uploading files.
libftdi support: Because ftdi-sio fails, especially on OSX.
Note: Because of these improvements, older wiiload version and 3rd party upload clients are incompatible. Use the bundled v0.5, binaries and source code are included.
■Basic application management.
To add apps: Just wiiload a ZIP archive, it will then get extracted to the active device. The ZIP file must be structured in a certain way, check this description for the details.
To delete apps: There’s a new button on the application dialog.

DVDX
====
■Allow PPC side hardware access.
Also known as the magic HW_AHBPROT register.
■TMD version bumped to 2, in case anyone needs to check for e.g. HW_AHBPROT.

Indiana Pwns Exploit

by Team Twiizers

The Indiana Pwns is the original safe, public way to enable homebrew on a Wii without hardware modification. The Indiana Pwns is achieved by playing a hacked game save for LEGO Indiana Jones which executes a homebrew application from an external SD card. Examples of such homebrew .elf or .dol files can be found on the Homebrew applications page. The Indiana Pwns was created by Team Twiizers.

Kudos to “roto” for finding the original buffer overflow, and many thanks for doing lots of testing!*

Required materials
==================
SD card (<= 2GB, not SDHC) formatted as FAT16 or FAT32. (The Wii System Menu, which is used to copy the save, only reads SD cards, not SDHC).
SD card reader
A LEGO Indiana Jones game that has been played at least once
Some homebrew to load (e.g. the Homebrew Channel installer)

Step by step
============
1.Ensure your SD card is formatted as FAT. By default SD cards are formatted as FAT, so if you're not sure you can skip this step.
2.(Optional) If you have an existing Indiana save that you want to backup, do so before proceeding:
1.Put your SD card in your Wii and turn it on.
2.Go into Wii Options --> Data Management --> Save Data --> Wii
3.Find your Indiana save, click on it, click "Copy", and click Yes
4.Put your SD card in your computer, and copy the "private" folder from the card to a safe place.
3.Copy the "private" directory from the Indiana Pwns download to the root of your SD card.
4.Take your homebrew Wii executable (elf or dol file) and save it in the root directory of your SD card as "boot.elf" or "boot.dol" as appropriate.
5.Put your SD card in your Wii and turn it on.
6.Go into Wii Options --> Data Management --> Save Data --> Wii.
7.Find your Indiana save, click on it, click "Erase", and click Yes.
8.Open the SD card and select the "Indiana Pwns" save that corresponds to your game region. Note: Some people are having problems with the Wii not "seeing" the save file on the SD card. If you are experiencing this, try setting the archive bit for the data.bin file - in Windows this can be either be done from the file's properties dialog (right click on it in Windows Explorer and check the box) or from the command line using "attrib +a ". More info at #wiihelp on Efnet.
9.Click copy and then yes. Now exit out of the menu.
10.Insert LEGO Indiana Jones disc and run the game.
11.Walk to the “art room” (find some walkthrough on the intertubes if you cannot find it), look at the second character.
12.Enjoy!

hextwelve

by lewurm & theStack

hextwelve is a simple Host Controller Driver for both Wiis OHCI controllers, based on Team Twiizers mini/ppcskel (aka BootMii; since all hardware can be accessed directly from the PowerPC due to the AHPBROT hack, we just built on ppcskel and didn't touch any MINI code). As the original goal of the project is just to faciliate the (IOS-independent) usage of an USB keyboard, it currently supports only control and interrupt transfers, which lays the groundwork for supporting other HID class devices as well.

FEATURES
========
-simple OHCI driver, supports control and interrupt transfers (through AHPBROT)
-HID keyboard driver, but only for keyboards that support the boot protocol
-lsusb-like output for low- and fullspeed devices (per USB gecko only)
-not so important, but worth mentioning for interested developers: improved ppcskel that can be used as basis for other project, including SHA1 engine support (using AHPBROT) and a simple interrupt handler (including hollywood IRQs)

-Easy for all;
-Friendly functions;
-Handles drawing;
-Sprite system;
-Handles PNG images;
-Special effects;
-Write graphically text;
-MP3 system;
-MOD system;
-Input (Wiimote, Nunchuk, and extensions...) system;

-modified: ML_SplashScreen(), there's a fadeIn and a fadeOut now.

LibELM 1.0

by SquidMan

LibELM is a FAT driver, like libfat. However, LibELM is based on the amazing ELM FAT driver by ChaN. LibELM does NOT use a devoptab and as such, does not use the stdio functions (fopen, fread, etc.), but uses it's own. You can find all the information on how to use LibELM here: http://elm-chan.org/fsw/ff/00index_e.html

LibELM is Wii only, at the moment, and supports SD card, USB stick, and should support SDGecko, but SDGecko has not been tested.

Achtung Wii Kurve 1.2

by Profetylen

Achtung Wii Kurve is a clone of the computer game Achtung Die Kurve (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Achtung_die_kurve). It differs in that it has a lot of customization- and control options and actually includes music, sounds and an AI. The game supports up to 12 players.

The objective of the game is to survive as long as you can by making sure your curve doesn't hit a wall or another curve. As you move you leave a trace behind you which noone can pass through except at tiny holes that regularly appears in the curve.

The controls are displayed in the game.

iiii 2.1

by Yossi

iii is a digital clone of the popular retail and pen-and-paper game "Connect 4". It is similar to Tic-Tac-Toe. The rules are simple. You take turns with another player to drop red or black pieces into the board. Pieces fall in from the top and slide down to stack up on top of each other. The goal is to get 4 of your pieces touching in a straight line (diagonals also count) before your opponent does.
