Supertuxwii 1.0

Achtung Wii Kurve 1.0

Achtung Wii Kurve is a clone of the computer game Achtung Die Kurve It differs in that it has alot of customization- and control options and actually includes music and sounds. The game supports up to 12 players.

The game bears some resemblance to the game Snake, though in "Achtung, Die Kurve!" the main goal is to make the opponent hit the wall without hitting anything else by yourself. As a result, the game resembles closely to the famous Light Cycle of the 1982 movie Tron. The kurve is controlled by only two buttons: one makes the snake turn left; the other, right. The main difference between Achtung and Snake is that Achtung can only be played multi-player, while Snake remains a single player game; although some versions of the game support singleplayer gameplay (for example IPCurve), you play against computer controlled kurves in comparison to Snake, where you are there only by yourself.

PCSX-Revolution rev18

PCSX-Revolution is a port of the PlayStation (One) emulator, PCSX, to the Nintendo Wii (formerly named Revolution).

Status
In it's current state it supports playing single songs from SD card. Up to 5 players in quick play mode. With 4 guitars and 1 USB keyboard. It has no lag and all the notes are perfect on time.

Current 0.1alpha release lacks one important feature, which is the fact that you cannot fail.

Paradroid 0.6

A version of SDL Paradroid compiled for the Wii to fill the void in the U.S., where the virtual console lacks C64 games. This version is created from the GPL'ed source code from SDL Paradroid and uses the same data files. The source will be released in accordance with its original GPL license as soon as I get to a stable version. I had considered abandoning the project because of the virtual console version, but then realized its not available in the U.S., and noticed that there are at least 2 PC remakes of Paradroid and several for mobile platforms. So if you like Paradroid and live where it is available, support the virtual console by purchasing it. Otherwise, wait a little while and give this port a try.

This version is in no way derived from the version available on the Wii Virtual Console in Europe. All code and graphics are from the freely-available SDL Paradroid released in 2002 under the GPL license. It has simply been patched in various ways to be compatible with the Wii Homebrew SDL library.

Harmonium 1 beta2

Galaxii Overflow

This new Wii exploit allows code to be executed by the game. This has been shown before when loading a level in an earlier video. Now there's a code that loads a boot.elf from the root of the SD card. This is done by an anomaly in the game which has the game storing data in a buffer area, the data overflows and overwrites adjacent memory. In this case It allows a modified save to run code, unfortunately, playing on this save file can easily mess with the code due to where the code is loaded from. The exploit is also very dangerous as turning off during the underlying NAND processes can cause bricks. The only way to get the code to execute is to preform the glitch. It's not easy to do. Once this is perfected so that it is easier to do and is safer it will be released. Until then enjoy.

C-Dogs SDL 0.4.1-1

A port of C-Dogs SDL to the Wii using SDL Wii. C-Dogs is an arcade shoot-em-up which lets players work alone and cooperatively during missions or fight against each other in the "dogfight" deathmatch mode.

The player character(s) are elite soldiers, taking on mission after mission to defeat evil in any form. That is, you kill it or blow it up. Sounds violent? Yep, that's right. Still, the emphasis is on gameplay rather than gore. But the game will involve a lot of mowing down of enemies - and the occasional unlucky civilian - so now you have been warned.

OpenTyrianWii 1.2.0

This is a new and fresh port of the wonderful game OpenTyrian to the Wii system. This is separate from Nuvalo's port, which uses wii-linux. This port instead is a direct port using the SDL Wii port cleaned up and put together by Tantric.

Everything works. Music is now correctly synthesized at 32khz, and the sound effects are running a little slower than that (but not by much).

TO INSTALL
==========
Installation is as easy as copying the contents of the archives to the root of your SD card (and don't worry about any warnings windows might give you. It won't overwrite anything you've got on there). You don't have to copy the included readme. For those who have versions older than 1.1.0, please move your tyrian.cfg and tyrian.sav files into the directory tyrian/userdata. Otherwise you'll have to start over.

If you have ever played Mario Paint for the SNES, then you have probably played the Gnat Attack game (also known as Coffee Break). My game is a spinoff of this, created for the Wii. I took many creative liberties with it, including redoing all of the sound effects with my brother and my girlfriend, and switching up the game modes just a bit.

There are two main game modes, the "Classic" mode, which is level based much like the original. There is also a "Swarm" mode which features endless enemies.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl - new exploit


DON'T NAME THIS EXPLOIT! LEAVE THAT TO COMEX!

Exploit by comex, ELF loading code by Team Twiizers.

This exploit exploits a vulnerability in SSBB's stage builder code to run arbitrary homebrew code. Currently it will load an elf file from /boot.elf on the SD card.

This exploit differs from others in the fact that it is quite difficult for Nintendo to patch. There is no method on the Wii for patching games, and as this exploit does not go through the System Menu, it can not be patched by Nintendo at this time.

All you have to do to use this exploit is delete all custom stages on your Wii, then copy over the file. When you etner the Stage Builder menu, it will automatically run /boot.elf on SD.

Super Mario War Wii 1.2

This is a port of Super Mario War to the Wii, using SDL Wii. It should be fully functional (with the exception of netplay - which requires someone (hint) to port SDL_Net). To make this port possible, I've had to rewrite significant portions of SDL Wii, particularly a complete re-write of the file, video, and sound systems. However, I'm hoping this work will encourage other developers to port more SDL-based games and applications to the Wii.

Copy the apps/ and smw/ folders to the root of your SD card.

OpenTyrianWii 1.1.3

This game is a port of OpenTyrian, based on the DOS sourcecode of the game Tyrian for MSDOS. OpenTyrian is an open source project built around the SDL library. This port uses Tantric's SDL port as its base.

Tyrian is an arcade-style vertical scrolling shooter. The player controls a space ship fitted with different weapons and enhanced energy shields. Money is earned by destroying enemies and grabbing bonuses, which is then used to purchase upgrades such as weapons, shields, energy generators, and different ships from interlevel menus. The game is fast paced and presents a variety of enemies and bosses.

Copy the contents of archive to the root of your SD card. You don't have to copy this readme. Make sure that your apps folder contains OpenTyrianWii, and a tyrian folder resides on the root of your card.

-All scalers are now set to center vertical output on a 4:3 display (at 320x240 [none] or 640x480 [2x, scale2x]). Widescreen is untested, but is still expected to stretch and have a substantial black bar at the bottom. Good thing is that it's no longer clipped at the top.
-Fullscreen scaling has been abandoned, as the most optimized version of the interpolater (that I could optimize it to) takes too much processor time to complete, and is extremely slow on the Wii. Therefore None, 2x and scale2x are now all open again.
-Keyboard functionality has been restored to the save game and high scores naming windows. Keyboard input from all alphanumeric characters, plus some symbols, is now supported.
-As an interim solution for non-keyboard save/score naming, save and high score name input is enabled for all joysticks and DPads now, as well. Use up/down to change the character, right to advance a space, and left to delete. Unfortunately, high score input is untested, but soon will be, and any bugs will be fixed in the next version.
-Finally, did some cleanup in the OpenTyrian menu. Removed Fullscreen option (it froze the game when activated) and removed 3x, scale3x, and 4x from the scaler options (since SDL can't support that size anyway).

DOSBox is a DOS emulator.

Mplayer-CE is a homebrew media player for the Nintendo Wii. It was initially created as a fork of the Team Twiizers MPlayer port, combining elements of MPlayerWii, GeeXboX and other great homebrew contributions. It is built with devkitPPC development tools and libogc libraries, fully homebrew driven and not associated with Nintendo in any way.

Some of the current features includes DVD, SDHC, USB 2.0 storage device support, multiple media, subtitle, playlist and streaming formats, customization possibilities, etc.
